Something about the eagles of "Carmina Barbarica"'s cd-cover

They are ostrogoth eagle shaped fibulas, found

in the treasure of Domagnano , Italy ,

datable at V-VI century a.d., in pure gold fashioned with

"cloison" (inlays of fuse glass) and set garnets.

eagle was the symbol of imperial dignity

adopted by the ostrogoth barbarian in 493 a.d. when their

king Theoderic took the power in Italy .
